Start with the reason for the search
Is the main concern sleep, weight, tiredness, or an offer you want to understand? Describe that concern when arranging a visit. If you have a usual doctor, you can start by asking about that concern. Ask whether they can look into it or help you find someone who can.
In a room or over a screen
An in-person clinic is a place to discuss symptoms face to face. Telehealth means a care visit using a screen, phone, or an online exchange.
The Federation of State Medical Boards' telemedicine policy describes one care standard that applies to both remote visits and visits in person. The federation is a group of medical boards that gives advice to those boards. Your visit is governed by the rules of the state where you are located at that time.
Check what the visit offers
Ask who would assess you and whether you can ask that person follow-up questions. Ask what happens if they recommend a different option. Ask how an examination or tests would be arranged if needed.
As of October 1, 2026, FDA's records contain no approved US ipamorelin drug. Finding someone licensed to assess you does not change that record.
A question to bring
Can the visit begin with my symptoms and goals, before choosing any treatment?
